I was invited out to the Bulli Angican Church ladies craft group this morning to teach them how to do Tunisian Crocheting. Had a lovely morning. The ladies were keen to learn and I sold about 12 hooks. Am going again next week.
Well, what a frustrating 3 weeks I have had! It all started after I came back from a week in Adelaide - went to dial up internet and it kept cutting me off. I took my hard drive to my computer man who checked it out and said the modem was okay...... Changed the telephone extension cord. So then I rang Optus and spoke to lots of different people - some hung up on me - some left me dangling on the phone - some transferred me from one dept to another. In the end, I was getting nowhere, so I rang TIO (Telecommunication Industry Ombudsman). They gave me a reference number and was told to ring Optus back. So I did. Then I was given a case manager to look after my problem. She got me to talk to one of their top technicians, who on a couple of occasions, changed settings on my modem. Still no good.
In the meantime, I changed my phone service from Optus to Telstra, which took nearly 3 weeks to connect (happened today actually).
I have rung TIO about 3 times overall.
Then last night at about 7.30pm my case manager from Optus rang me - she put me on to a girl in the phone dept. She did a couple of tests on the line and then (after consulting with her bosses) came back and said she was going to send out a technician, but because I was changing over to Telstra phone, she couldn't do that now............. Talk about passing the buck!!!
I am so peeved off with Optus - so today I rang Telstra Bigpond and am now (AT LAST) going broadband with them as soon as they send me the stuff....
All I can say is steer clear of Optus if you want anything fixed........ bad news!!!!
But get this......................... The phone went over to Telstra today and tonight I signed on to the internet and it is working as normal ....... how does that work?????
